Stepan Avagyan Memorial-2021։ Opening Ceremony

Today Jermuk resort town hosted the participants of Stepan Avagyan Memorial: “Jermuk-2021” XV International Open Youth Chess Tournament. 
The “Jermuk-2021” XV International Open Youth Chess Tournament is an annual tournament for youth chess players from different countries of the world. This year over 150 young players from Armenia, Artsakh, Russia, Czech, Belarus, USA and Germany will take part in the Memorial.

During the opening ceremony of the event, the President of Vayos Dzor Chess Federation Harutyun Sargsyan, the mayor of Jermuk Vardan Hovhannisyan, the Avagyan's family and the President of the Chess Academy, Vice-president of the Armenian Chess Federation Smbat Lputian welcomed participants and guests wishing good luck to everyone.

The 1st round of the tournament will start tomorrow at 10:30, at "Jermuk Ashkhar" health center complex.
